House Rules and Membership Policies
The House of Soft Beasts is a shared home, workspace, and gathering place. We want it to feel relaxed, welcoming, curious, and a little strange, while still being a space where everyone can feel safe and respected.
These rules are here to make that possible.
1. Be good to each other
Treat other members, guests, staff, performers, and neighbors with respect.
Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, threats, unwanted sexual attention, or deliberately making someone feel unsafe are not welcome here.
If someone tells you that something you're doing is making them uncomfortable, stop.
We reserve the right to ask anyone to leave the house at any time.
2. Consent is required
Consent applies to physical contact, sexual activity, photographs, recordings, personal information, and participation in activities.
Ask before touching or involving someone. Respect a no immediately and without argument.
Our consent policy applies to all members, guests, events, and activities at the house.
3. Guests
Members are welcome to bring up to two guests per month without purchasing additional guest passes.
Additional guest passes may be purchased separately.
Members are responsible for their guests while they are at the house, including making sure their guests understand and follow these house rules.
Guests must be 25 or older.
The house reserves the right to refuse entry or ask any member or guest to leave if their behaviour or presence is making the space unsafe, uncomfortable, or otherwise inconsistent with the house rules. We may do this without a prior warning when the situation calls for it.
Depending on what has happened, being asked to leave may simply apply to that evening, or may lead to a temporary suspension or end of membership in more serious or repeated cases. Decisions are made by Hannah, Erin, or the hired security for a specific event, with the response depending on the circumstances rather than following an automatic warning or suspension system.
If you disagree with a decision, you’re welcome to contact Erin at erin@houseofsoftbeasts.se afterwards to discuss what happened and ask for it to be reviewed. While that review is happening, we may ask you to stay away from the house.
4. Opening hours & noise

5. A sober house
House of Soft Beasts is a drug-free space. No illegal drugs or drug use are permitted in the house.
If your behavior becomes disruptive or makes another person feel unsafe, we may ask you to leave regardless of whether alcohol is involved.
6. Children & animals
Children under 12 are welcome in the house until 17:00 and some events that are explicitly marked as child friendly, provided they are supervised by their accompanying adult.
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate dogs or other pets at this time.
7. Take care of the house
This is a shared space, so please leave it ready for the next person.
Members are expected to:
-
Clean up after themselves.
-
Wash or put away anything they use.
-
Return furniture, tools, and supplies to their proper places.
-
Clean up spills and messes promptly.
-
Dispose of rubbish, cigarette waste, and snus properly.
-
Treat furniture, equipment, artwork, plants, and other people's belongings with care.
Cleaning supplies and instructions are available in the house.
If you damage something, please tell us. Accidents happen; hiding them makes them much harder to fix. You can let us know at erin@houseofsoftbeasts.se .
8. Photography, communication, & privacy
You’re welcome to take photos or short videos of yourself and friends, as long as everyone visible in the image has consented to being photographed or recorded. Please be mindful of the space around you and avoid inadvertently capturing other members or guests.
Some events may have different photography rules, including a complete no-photography or no-recording policy. We’ll always make this clear when you arrive.
Official event photographers may sometimes be present. When photography is taking place, we will communicate this clearly and provide appropriate ways for people to opt out.
Communication channels such as WhatsApp may be available to members on a voluntary basis. These channels are not run or administered by the House. If you choose to join, other members may be able to see personal information you choose to provide through the platform, such as your name, phone number, or profile photo.
Please do not share another member’s contact details, personal information, conversations, or images outside the house without their consent.
Please also respect the privacy of what people share and do inside the house. Not everything that happens here belongs on the internet.
9. Hosting & events
Members are welcome to bring ideas for events and activities at the house. We love hearing what you’d like to see here, and we’re happy to work with members to develop ideas into events that fit the space and community.
All member-led events are hosted by the house and need to be discussed and approved with the house team before they’re confirmed. This helps us make sure the event works with the house calendar, practical requirements, and the experience we want to create for everyone.
When proposing an event, please give us as much detail as you can about:
-
What is it? What’s the theme, purpose, or idea behind the event?
-
When? What date(s) are you considering, and how long will it run?
-
Who is it for? Who will be invited, and approximately how many people do you expect?
-
What space do you need? Which rooms or areas of the house would you like to use?
-
What will it cost? Will there be an entry fee, ticket, or other cost for participants?
-
Food & drink: Will food or drinks be served? If so, what are you planning?
-
Anything else? Let us know about any equipment, performances, activities, accessibility needs, or other practical considerations we should know about.
Some activities may require additional agreements, safety measures, insurance, or restrictions depending on their nature. The house team may suggest changes to an event, or decide that a particular activity isn't suitable for the space.
10. Accessibility & individual needs
We want the house to be accessible and welcoming to as many people as possible.
If you have mobility, sensory, dietary, language, or other accessibility needs, please let us know. We'll do our best to accommodate them and be transparent about anything the space currently cannot provide.
The house is still evolving, and we welcome feedback about how we can make it more accessible.
11. Raising concerns & reporting incidents
If something happens that makes you uncomfortable, feel unsafe, or violates these rules, please tell Erin.
You can speak directly to Erin either in person or by phone at +46705570402 , or email us at erin@houseofsoftbeasts.se if you'd prefer to report something in writing.
We will treat reports seriously and handle them as discreetly as possible.
When appropriate, we may document incidents so that we can follow up consistently and identify patterns that need attention.
12. Personal property & borrowed items
Members are welcome to lend or bring personal items to the house for use in events and activities, including tools, equipment, artwork, decorations, and other materials.
If you are leaving an item at the house or making it available for use by others, please let us know in advance and complete our Personal Property Form with the item's description, condition, and agreed replacement value. This allows us to keep a record of what is in the house and what it was worth when it arrived.
The house will cover the reasonable cost of repairing or replacing an item if it is damaged while being used or stored at the house, up to the agreed value. This does not cover normal wear and tear or damage that existed before the item was brought in.
For valuable, fragile, or particularly important items, we may ask for additional information or make separate arrangements before accepting them.
13. Membership & access
Membership is personal and may not be transferred to another person.
Membership does not guarantee access to every event or activity at the house. Some events may have limited capacity, additional costs, or separate participation requirements.
We may update these policies as the house develops. Members will be informed of significant changes.
The short version
Be kind. Ask first. Respect no. Clean up after yourself. Take care of the house. Protect people's privacy. Be responsible for your guests. If something feels wrong, tell us.
Be kind to each other and don’t be an asshole.
